Online Access (NHS App) Update
As you may be aware, Hedge End Medical Centre patients were disconnected from the NHS App on 9th April due to the merge with Blackthorn Health Centre. The merge failed, so this continued to be offline for HEMC patients last week.
The merge has now completed, and Primary Care Support England is relinking the patient details on the “Spine” – this is where the records of health and social care are joined up. This will point HEMC patients’ demographics to Hamble Valley Health as their GP surgery, which will in turn allows patients to relink their NHS App to the practice.
Once this happens, you should be able to relink your account to the practice, and then order prescriptions etc. in the same way you did before. However, if you are still having problems, this is the information from the NHS App helpdesk:
If you are having trouble reconnecting to Hamble Valley Health, please complete the following steps:
Step 1: Delete your NHS login account.
For security reasons, you will need to log in with your usual NHS login credentials. Once logged in, you will then be able to delete your account.
1. Log in to your NHS account via the NHS App or NHS.UK
2. Select the ‘More’ icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen.
3. Select ‘Account and settings’, then ‘Manage NHS account’, then ‘Your NHS login details’.
4. Select ‘Delete NHS login’.
IMPORTANT:
After you have deleted your NHS login:
• You will not be able to access other websites or apps that use NHS login (you may have to set up a new NHS login if you want to continue using them)
• Those services might keep some information about you.

3. Select,””” Yes – I have all 3 details”””.
4. Enter the provided ODS code, account ID and linkage key from your practice (you will need to request this from the practice)
5. Then enter your name and DOB when prompted and submit your details.
