Merger update – Wednesday 23rd April

Posted on:

NHS App

HEMC patients who were unable to use the NHS should now be able to reconnect it to Hamble Valley Health. See more at https://www.hamblevalleyhealth.nhs.uk/…/online-access…/

Prescriptions

We have a backlog, both from the merger and the bank holiday weekend, most prescriptions are now able to be sent electronically, so should go automatically to the pharmacy you have nominated.

Telephone lines

We have (understandably) seen a huge increase in telephone call volume from patients who could not use the NHS App – please help us to get the message out about our new website www.hamblevalleyhealth.nhs.uk and the Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/hamblevalleyhealth, both of which we are keeping up to date with important information.

Urgent Care Centre

Our Urgent Care Centre, based at Lowford, opens on Monday and we will be booking patients into this site if they are assessed as needing urgent care. Note this is not a walk in centre, you will be given an appointment time if this is a suitable service for your needs.

Reception teams

This merger has been incredibly tough on our reception teams who have had to learn a new appointment system as well as deal with a failed merger and all the patient queries that have come as a result of it. We are doing our best to support patients, and whilst we appreciate it’s not all gone to plan but this has been out of our control. The reception team are just the messengers here, please do treat them with respect and understanding.

eConsult

eConsult is available on working days from 8am each day. We do pause it when capacity is reached. The link is on our website. If you prefer not to use eConsult, you can call us, but bear in mind our phone lines are very busy.
